Stacey Parkerson has caught more than 50 world records in both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. She was the first woman to land a world-record blue marlin on fly, and has since tallied 12 billfish records. Fishing with fellow world-record holder Enrico Capozzi on the 52-foot Spirit of Pilar, Stacey is far from done. She’s currently targeting Atlantic marlin and sailfish world records. She took some time away from the cockpit to answer some questions about what drives her passion.

Spear Fishing Chick Sheri Day

Sheri Day is true fishin chick. The guys at BDOutdoors sat down for a q and a with the accomplished free diver and spear fisher.

When asked about her most memorable catches she responded

The fish I remember most are not always the most impressive looking in photos. Some big fish were relatively easy to spear, and some smaller ones were really difficult. For example, I remember getting a “mu” and an “uku” in Hawaii. They are not big fish, but they are very stealthy and require a long breath-hold before they will allow you to get near them.

On a recent outing in the Banana River , Florida, Carrie Shealey caught this enormous red fish. This was her first big redfish that she was able to sight cast to it and land on her own. The battle only took about 10 minutes on 10 pound test. She was fishing with her husband Tyler Shealey known for his marine realted business Castaway Customs.

Anthony Sartori sent in this info and pictures on his wife’s new Port Canaveral Record and pending IGFA Women’s World Record 46lb gag grouper catch! The current IGFA record for gag grouper on women’s 50 lb line class is 27 lb 12 oz and this catch would beat the existing by almost 20 lbs! Congrats Holly!!
